Artist's Comments
The comedian Chris Farley lived in a van down by the river before he hit it big. My Aunt Ann, who lives in Georgia, was down by "the river" one day, and found this pup in a van. So he was dubbed Farley. Farley came from Georgia to live with us when he was seven months old. Thirteen years later, he's blind and deaf and probably the best friend any one could ever have. He bit the mean kid's butt when he picked on me and tackled you when you ran. Friday, we'll be putting him down, so I was asked by many members of our family to take pictures of him before he left. So here's to Farley, the greatest dog in the world.

I totally have been through that. My little baby doggy was put to sleep a few years ago and she was around 12 due to cancer. Dogs and cancer is just horrible. Their eyes just tell you stuff you don't want to bear. But be strong. he won't be in pain anymore

You just need to not try to think about Friday until the day gets here. You'll just drive yourself crazy and you don't want that. He'll sense it. And you want him calm.
